Intense green is the predominant colour of the valley during the spring and it's above all the evident proof of the territory's preservation thanks to the correct exploitation of forests and alpine pastures.

The rural landscape is characterized by "masi" (hay barns) which extend from the meadows in the valley to the beginning of the wood. The high wood part of these "masi" is a barn, while the stone base is used as a cowshed. Here a lot of farmers of this valley still take their cattle for the most part of the year. 

During the summer instead the cattle climb up to the higher pastures named "malghe". Thanks to the scented grass, the healthy waters of brooks and the pure environment, they produce an excellent milk with which the dairyman produces at high altitude the typical cheese, "ricotta" (cottage cheese made of skim milk) and butter.
