Val di Rabbi is characterized by a territory that preserves traditions, cultural heirtage, and landscape in all its forms: moutain farmsteads are direct evidence of this.
Farmsteads are the typical buildings of mountain areas, and are built entirely of wood and stones. They used to be the houses of peasants, having the dual function of dwelling and farm.
As ancient houses of the family, farmesteads are usually surrounded by green grasses addresses to the hay’s harvest or to the pasture before the summer season. They were mainly lived from autumn to late spring, when the families were obliged to go down to the valley with cattles from the transumance.
They are now symbols of authenticity, and are very beautiful. They are scattered throughout the valley, but there are also trails dedicated to them and guided tours organized by the Stelvio National Park. This park, in fact, takes care not only of the local flora and fauna but also of the typical alpine handmade products.
Rabbivacanze propone una nuova classificazione degli appartamenti ad uso turistico dislocati sul territorio della Val di Rabbi. L’obiettivo è quello di garantire massima trasparenza delle informazioni e della qualità dell’offerta.
