The definitive cycling tour of the Val di Rabbi, covering a large section of the valley with some technical uphill and downhill sections. Start at the car park in Plazze dei Forni.

The route heads immediately uphill on a gravel track towards Malga Polinar. Near the top of the climb, just before Malga Polinar, at the final left-hand hairpin bend, turn right onto a more level trail through the forest until you get to a fork in the road. Here you must tackle a short but challenging downhill single track section, at the bottom of which you turn left onto the flat forest track leading to Malga Stableti. At Malga Stableti, keep left and continue to climb up the Val Cercen towards Malga Cercen Bassa. When you get there, a flat section leads on to Malga Villar Bassa. From here, keep your eyes out for an uphill single track section on the right, where you will have to push the bike at times until the junction with the Via delle Malghe footpath, continuing in the direction of Malga Fassa and Malga Monte Sole Alta. From the latter, descend along the gravel track until you reach a stream on your right, where there is a turning on the left for the footpath leading to Malga Fratte Alta (ruins). The next section requires more prudence: immediately after the ruins of the old dairy, turn right and cross the meadow heading downhill on a faint track to the footpath below. This steep section of single track is very technical and a lot of fun, crossing some natural steps which are quite challenging.

The path brings you to Malga Fratte Bassa, from where you continue downhill along the gravel track. Continue until the junction, taking the first gravel track on the left, where there is a mineral water spring. Continue on the flat and, after crossing the bridge over the Rabbies river, head back uphill on the other side. After a short segment on tarmac in the direction of Somrabbi, turn left just before the village, uphill on gravel towards Cavallar. From there, ride downhill on the tarmac road to the bottom of the valley and back to the starting point in the Plazze dei Forni car park.
